While REACHit from Lenovo will have a final version later this fall, the company says that a beta version of the service will be available later this summer in time for the Windows 10 launch. The new integration of Cortana and REACHit looks very seamless, there is no other application the users will have to launch, just search in Cortana and she does the rest to show the results within the digital assistant canvas. However, it seems that the new functionality will only be limited to Lenovo devices, when it’s clearly a feature that should expand to all devices, no matter the brand. Lenovo’s REACHit service also makes use of your location to enable Cortana to search files based on where you created, edited, or viewed a particular file. This is yet another way Microsoft is using to gain terrain over its rival cloud services, but this isn’t the first time, the software maker last year partnered with Dropbox to integrate the cloud storage services natively into Office.
