According to the company, the D-Link AC5300 DIR-895L/R is the fastest router in the market delivering Wi-Fi speeds up to 5,300Mbps. While we got used to see dual-band routers, the new router from D-Link is a tri-band device. Meaning that you have three wireless bands, including a 2.4GHz band with speeds up to 1,000Mbps and two 5GHz band capable of delivering up to 2,165Mbps (each), simultaneously. The D-Link AC3200 DIR-890L/R has three wireless band as well. However, the 2.4GHz band only delivers bandwidth up to 600Mbps and each of the 5GHz bands can limited to 1,300Mbps.
The last model, the AC3100 DIR-885L/R is a similar router, but it only a dual-band router with a 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with speeds up to 3,100Mpbs, when adding all the bands bandwidth. Additionally, they all support USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, it comes in red (obviously) and depending on the model, you get, and you will see eight, six, or four external antennas. The software is also the same throughout the models D-Link has shipped in the past years. You can easily control your network from your mobile device, and includes all the basics like parental control, access restriction, guest networks, QoS and much more. These routers may look a little different, but make no mistake; they can deliver solid speed supporting the latest 802.11 protocols. The new D-Link Ultra Performance series goes on sale tomorrow, January 6th, and you can order the AC3200 on Newegg starting at $310. The remaining two model will ship on the second quarter of 2015, pricing hasn’t been announced. Source Cnet All content on this site is provided with no warranties, express or implied.
