Basically, starting today every Chrome user will be able to see the same Google Now cards notifications from Android (event reminders, commute traffic, weather, stock market, sport scores, and more) on the desktop. To enable Google Now notifications the only thing you need to do is to sign-in to Chrome with the same Google Account as you have set up your Android device. Google Now cards in Chrome support page also reveals that some of the notifications are location based, in this cases Google Now will use the location of your mobile device. If you have multiple devices enabled with Google Now, you’ll need to manage the location settings for each device independently. Also Chrome Now will check for your mobile device location even if the browser isn’t running to continue showing notifications, but you can turn it off using the notification’s icon located in the system tray. The company has been working on “Now” for months and the new move hints how the company is quickly trying to merge the mobile and desktop experience closer together. So it wouldn’t be a surprise to see more features coming soon integrating even further mobile and desktop devices. Keep in mind that the company is not just rolling out this new feature, thus it could take a few days for you to get it. And like I mentioned before, make sure you’re signed in with the same Google Account you’re using in your phone to enable Google Now cards on Chrome desktop.
