According to the software maker the new name will be reflected “soon” in the product and they assure the service “will continue to operate as you expect and all of your content will be available on OneDrive and OneDrive for Business respectively as the new name is rolled out across the portfolio.” (Currently there is a preview of the service that you can visit here, where you can sign up to get notify about the service.)
The company even published a new video in YouTube touting the new name highlighting that OneDrive is the “One place for everything in your life”, for your documents, photos, and different file formats. Microsoft also admits changing the “SkyDrive” name to “OneDrive” wasn’t an easy decision, but was something needed to be done.
