If you can afford it, then you can probably get the PlayBox, which is a huge console mod created by Edward Zarick that combines both consoles into a laptop like device featuring a 22-inch 1080p screen. This is not the first mod from Ed, if you remember from my previous post, he is also behind the XbooK One, which turns an Xbox One into a portable game console. The new adventure, the PlayBox, crams the PS4 on the left side and the Xbox One on the right side. Both consoles use the same power cord, but only one console can be powered at one time.
Ed explains that it took various attempts to make it all fit and some compromises had to be made, for example, it was impossible to bring the Xbox One USB port at the front of the new case. However, everything works — Ethernet, Wi-Fi, HDMI out, etc. The PlayBox features a red button in the back to switch between consoles and you cannot power both units at the time just a precaution for possible overheating issues. The device also feature a smart HDMI switcher inside to switch automatically to the right console that is powered on. According to Edward Zarick, the PlayBook is just a special prototype and it isn’t for sale, but he warns that if more units are built, they won’t come cheap.
