In the Release Preview Channel, Microsoft rolled out the update KB5018483 for Windows 11 21H2 with fixes and improvements coming in the next month’s maintenance update, including the option to open the “Task Manager” from the Taskbar right-context menu. In the Beta Channel, the update KB5018499 was released for Windows 11 22H2 with the option to open the Task Manager from the Taskbar context menu, changes for Narrator, updates for Windows Hello, and more. Also, in the Dev Channel, Microsoft has also made available the Windows 11 build 25227 with minor visual changes to the Start menu and a new navigation pane for the Widgets board. And Windows 10 received update KB5018482 as a preview for version 21H2 with various fixes and improvements. On gaming, the Xbox Series consoles received the October 2022 update with new volume controls, the option to mute startup sounds, and tweaks in the settings and mobile app. Also, the Windows Subsystem for Android got a new update with fixes and changes to help improve Android apps on Windows 11. Finally, Microsoft seems to be working on a new “PC Manager” app for Windows 11 that offers recommendations to boost system performance and improve security.
