In addition to Active Hours, Microsoft is adding a new snooze option that shows up in a new dialog letting you know that there is a new update available for Windows 10.
Windows 10 stops automatic reboots after updates
“Snooze” will postpone an update from installing for three days, which should be more than sufficient to save your work and make time to install updates. Then there is a new “Pick a time” option to let you schedule a restart when is more convenient to you. Of course, if you’re ready, you can always click the “Restart now” button to apply the update. While automatic updates are a convenient way to keep devices up to date, there’s still the problem that in order to apply an update a computer must reboot, and often times this Windows 10 restarts when you least expected. The new options introduced in the Windows 10 Creators Update will provide users more control to prevent annoying reboots by postponing the installation for a later day. However, there are still a few things unclear. For example, will the prompt disappear automatically after certain amount of time if no option is selected?
