According to a new article at the Xbox Wire, the company revealed that Xbox Live members will now be able to pause and resume a video playing on Xbox Video on any device supported by the service (e.g., Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows 8.x); Windows Phone 8 and Xbox Video on the web support will come on a later date, though.
Also new Xbox One SmartGlass app features are coming. One thing Microsoft is doing is to bring the OneGuide experience to a mobile device (phone and tablet). Basically everything you can currently do with the Microsoft’s TV guide functionality from TV listing, to watch app channels, and your favorites channels, you can do it with the new SmartGlass app. Plus the company added a way for users to see all the recent channels. As with the previous update, Microsoft will also be inviting selected Xbox Live members from the U.S., Europe, and Canada, to test the latest preview of the Xbox One OneGuide upcoming features. Though, some TV watching experience are already available in the U.S., like TV listing using OneGuide and the ability to control the cable/satellite box using Kinect voice commands. The Xbox One update preview will also allow testers to try the new SmartGlass feature to work as an universal remote control, which will let users DVR TV content among other things. Finally there is a good news for those in the UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany who will soon see the full features of OneGuide and everything that is in SmartGlass as well.
